NewSpring Internships

Clemson Guest Services

Guest Services partners with NewSpring’s vision by seeing and serving people to help them connect to Jesus and His church. The ideal person for this internship is someone who loves people, enjoys hospitality, has an eye for detail, is hardworking, and is willing to roll with the punches.

This role will include the following:

You will be expected to participate actively in the Clemson campus team. This includes team meetings, times of prayer, and being willing to do things outside of the role description to help other areas of ministry when needed.

You will help to grow and improve the current New Here team of volunteers and the environment for New Guests. You will also innovate how we can partner with other areas of ministry to move guests along the ADP (Adult Discipleship Pathway). This will include weekly follow-up with new guests, recruiting new volunteers, and creating an area outside of the Guest Services desk for a New Here environment.

You will get to know Guest Services leaders and volunteers in an effort to care for and encourage them. This will happen through intentional weekly communication, time spent in prayer, and in-person meetings.

Over the course of the internship, you will spend intentional time in every area of Guest Services to get a clear understanding of the ministry. When ready, this will include being the primary point of contact for Guest Services on Sunday to feel the weight of Sunday responsibilities at a campus.

Assist in creating and implementing seasonal decor for Fall, Christmas, and Spring.

Receive intentional training and coaching from your staff supervisor, including weekly meetings to answer questions, provide ongoing training resources, and discuss assignments.

Receive bi-weekly mentoring from your staff supervisor to deepen your relationship with God and others.

Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
